About LARCS

LARCS was founded in 1993 to bring like minded sport modellers together at an amazing flying site.  Please fly safe and have fun.

Learning to fly is a rewarding but challenging experience.  New pilots are required to pass a competency test before flying solo to be compliant with Transport Canada (TC), MAAC, and LARCS regulations. This is done by completing the approved TC Competency Demonstration check-out procedure with one of the club examiners. New pilots can learn to fly by working with our many instructors and once you are ready to solo a club examiner will complete your competency demonstration.

The purpose of the instruction & competency demonstration is to provide the new pilots a safe and rewarding way to learn to fly while complying with the current regulations. Learning to fly a radio control model takes a great deal of patience, time, and dedication and with the use of club instructors and optionally the Wings Program we hope to make lifetime modellers out of our new members.
